SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) and SAPF (Special Access Program Facility) Testing Services

OSAT provides independent acoustic and diagnostic field testing for SCIF, SAPF, VTC, and other secure or mission-critical facilities.

Acoustic Verification for Secure Facilities

For a description of the measurement setup and distinction between airborne field ratings, see ASTM E336 ASTC and NIC field testing. Secure-facility acceptance remains subject to the applicable ICD-705 technical specification and project requirements, rather than generic architectural rating thresholds. See also secure-area testing for SCIF, SAPF and VTC facilities.

Testing can include airborne sound-isolation measurements, speech privacy and intelligibility measurements, diagnostic investigation of weak transmission paths, and verification after corrective work.

ICD-705-Related Field Work

Project scope is developed around the applicable facility criteria, construction documents, security requirements, and acceptance process. For the current OSAT secure-facility service overview, see SCIF, SAPF & VTC Acoustic Testing.

Diagnostic Investigation

Where a facility does not achieve the required acoustic performance, OSAT can use frequency analysis, source-localization techniques, targeted sound-isolation measurements, vibration measurements, and other field methods to help identify limiting paths or construction conditions.

Independent Testing Within the Secure-Facility Project Team

Secure-facility projects may involve security consultants, Certified TEMPEST Technical Authorities (CTTAs), construction security technicians (CSTs), trainers, designers, contractors and specialist testing providers. These roles are complementary but not interchangeable. Training, security administration, facility design and construction do not by themselves establish the installed acoustic or RF shielding performance of a completed facility.

OSAT focuses on independent field measurements, diagnostic investigation and retesting against the applicable project criteria. We can coordinate with the facility’s security and construction teams to identify deficiencies, provide measurement-based feedback during corrections and document results without selling training courses, acoustic products or installation services. For the wider distinction between design, installation and independent measurement, see independent field testing and performance verification.

Optional. Examples: ASTM, ISO, ANSI, ICD-705, project specification, code requirement, or acceptance criterion.
If yes, only indicate that secure handling is required. Do not submit classified, CUI, export-controlled, or other sensitive information through this form.
List the project criteria and type of testing required, if known (noise survey, dosimetric, AIIC, ASTC, NIC, air quality, etc.)
