Marine Noise, Vibration and Air Quality Testing

On-Site Acoustic Testing provides field noise, vibration and indoor-air-quality measurements aboard marine vessels and other marine installations.

Shipboard Noise Testing

Measurements can characterize machinery spaces, passenger or crew areas, HVAC systems and sound transmission between compartments. Frequency-spectrum analysis can help identify dominant machinery and tonal components.

Marine Vibration Measurements

Multi-axis vibration and frequency analysis can be used to investigate rotating machinery, structural vibration and conditions affecting occupied spaces or equipment.

Air Quality and Air Sampling

Direct-read measurements and contaminant-specific air sampling can be performed in occupied areas, machinery spaces and other appropriate locations. See our air-quality and air-sampling services.

Project-Specific Standards

Marine projects can involve ISO, IMO, owner, classification-society or other project-specific criteria. The applicable requirements are established before testing rather than assuming one protocol applies to every vessel.

Discuss a Marine Testing Project

Provide the vessel or installation type, operating condition, measurement objectives and applicable specification.

Please list the city, state/province, and country where testing will take place.
Select all that apply.
Optional. Examples: ASTM, ISO, ANSI, ICD-705, project specification, code requirement, or acceptance criterion.
If yes, only indicate that secure handling is required. Do not submit classified, CUI, export-controlled, or other sensitive information through this form.
List the project criteria and type of testing required, if known (noise survey, dosimetric, AIIC, ASTC, NIC, air quality, etc.)
