On-Site Acoustic Testing (OSAT) provides independent, on-site acoustical testing and acoustic testing services, including building sound-isolation testing, noise level testing, noise surveys, vibration measurement, and technical field verification for secure facilities, data centers, industrial equipment, residential properties, and other demanding environments.
Our work is performed on site using measurement methods selected for the actual question being asked: verifying a specification, diagnosing a complaint, locating a transmission path, documenting an environmental condition, establishing a baseline, or confirming that corrective work has solved the problem.
How OSAT scopes a field testing project
A useful field test starts with the project objective rather than with a predetermined instrument or procedure. Before testing, we review the applicable drawings, specifications, standards, operating conditions, complaint history, or acceptance criteria and determine what must be measured to answer the question objectively.
- Define the performance requirement, complaint, or failure being investigated
- Select the applicable field method, standard, instrumentation, and measurement locations
- Document actual operating and environmental conditions during testing
- Identify dominant sources, leakage paths, flanking paths, or other contributors where troubleshooting is required
- Retest after remediation when verification is part of the project scope

What clients receive
Depending on the assignment, deliverables can include measured results, test locations and conditions, comparison with specified criteria or applicable standards, photographs and field observations, identification of likely sources or transmission paths, and recommendations for additional investigation or corrective work. When remediation is performed by others, OSAT can return for independent verification testing.
Testing is available throughout the United States and internationally. For project planning, send the project location, applicable drawings or specifications, the service required, and the measurement objective.
